PPI's Proud History

PPI was founded in 1995 by three petroleum engineers and is now a global energy-industry services company. Part of Kiwa since 2021, PPI's quality assurance, engineering and supply chain support services improve customer project execution, asset reliability, and utilization.

    1995

    Petroleum Professionals International is formed in Houston, Texas, offering oilfield services and engineering services worldwide.

    2001

    PPI Technology Services is formed, offering oilfield services, engineering services, and third-party inspection and quality consulting services.

    2007

    PPI Technology Services expands its QA Reporter software to allow customer access.

    2008

    PPI Asset Tracking and Management is formed to provide inventory management and quality consulting services.

    2014

    Petroleum Professionals International changes its name to Cardno PPI.

    2016

    PPI Asset Tracking and Management and PPI Technology Services merge with and into Cardno PPI.

    2019

    Cardno PPI changes its name to PPI Quality & Engineering. The company focuses on third-party inspection, vendor surveillance, quality auditing, inventory management, and oilfield services. Its flagship QA Reporter software securely hosts customer quality assurance and inventory management data.

    2021

    PPI joins the Kiwa Group, a global leader in testing, inspection, certification, and consultancy headquartered in the Netherlands.

    2026

    PPI joins forces with TIEC, Inc. (Texas International Engineering Consultants), a leading third-party inspection and vendor surveillance company that also offers training courses.
