January 21-22, 2025 – MUNICH FABRIC START is one of Europe's leading textile fairs and presents a comprehensive spectrum of innovative fabrics, accessories and sourcing solutions twice a year in Munich. On January 21-22, 2025, female trade visitors can discover over 1,100 international collections for the upcoming Spring/Summer 26 season. The trade fair offers a unique platform for inspiration, networking and knowledge sharing – every year, up to 15,000 industry experts come to Munich for the event. You can find us at the ReSOURCE Area in Hall 2, Stand D-25.

Kiwa BCS ÖKO Garantie GmbH has been officially recognized by the European Commission as a control body in accordance with 2018/848. From 21st June 2024, Kiwa BCS ÖKO Garantie GmbH is authorized to carry out inspections and certifications in accordance with the latest EU regulations for organic production in more than 40 countries.

The USDA publishes the “New Final Rule” for the National Organic Program in the USA (kiwa.com), which requires all organic imports into the United States to be declared organic and accompanied by a NOP import certificate. This change will improve traceability and monitoring of organic imports into the United States, making fraud more difficult.

As an international organic control body Asia is a very important market for Kiwa BCS. Not only do we have an office in China since more than 25 Years but Kiwa BCS also performs inspection across Asia and South-East Asian countries. In the following guide we try to simplify the certification requirements for your activities. To determine whether your company or your trading partner needs to be NOP certified, we have created the NOP-SOE flowchart.

The emergence of longer and more complex supply chains has made the need for more verification tools and methods necessary. The Strengthening Organic Enforcement (SOE) Final Rule requires that operations label nonretail containers with critical information that will help to prevent commingling of organic and non-organic products and contact with prohibited substances while supporting traceability and verification. The rule also clarifies how to calculate the percentage of organic ingredients in multi-ingredient products.

On 19 - 21 November 2023, Biofach in Saudi Arabia will open its doors and Kiwa BCS Öko-Garantie GmbH will of course be there again. Biofach in Saudi Arabia brings together more than 15 countries under one roof. This is where the organic industry of the entire MENA region meets. Kiwa BCS-Öko Garantie has been active in Saudi Arabia for many years and with its expertise, enables certification according to the local organic standard OSKSA (Organic Standard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).

Kiwa Rostock, a leading name in water quality testing, has received award-winning certification from the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) as a recognised laboratory. This recognition demonstrates Kiwa Rostock's commitment to the highest water quality and safety standards. WRAS recognition means that the laboratory meets strict criteria of competence and compliance to submit reports that are recognised as evidence of compliance with the Water Supply Regulations. Kiwa Rostock complies with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and can perform tests in various categories, including non-metallic materials in contact with drinking water.

In January of 2023 the USDA published a new final rule. It is a revision of the National Organic Program's (NOP) regulatory. The main focus lies on the SOE (Strengthening Organic Enforcement). Following, you get an overview on the changes that have been made. Hence, if your company is part of NOP please read this article carefully.

Thank you for your loyalty! As the first state-approved inspection body in Germany, Kiwa BCS celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2022. Since its foundation in 1992 in Nuremberg, the then "BCS Öko-Garantie GmbH" has grown steadily and has been able to make a name for itself on the market with high-quality services in the organic certification of food processors and producers.

The organic industry will meet at BIOFACH in Riyadh from November 7-9, 2022. Kiwa BCS has been active in Saudi Arabia for many years, offering certifications according to the local organic standard OSKSA (Organic Standard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), among others. Kiwa BCS is also accredited in other countries of the MENA region and can offer various organic standards such as EU, NOP or JAS.
